Workshop leaders: Anne-Marie Lavigne and Celine Marcq.
In this workshop we will show how to use traditional screen printing methods and conductive ink to apply a proximity / touch sensor circuit on various paper or textile substrates. The participants will create a textile/paper swatch which incorporates a light or sound emitting printed circuit.
The participants will learn how to prepare the circuit design and files, how to select and prepare the proper screens. They will also test several types of conductive inks.
The circuits used as examples will be designed to allow patterning. At the end of the workshop, swatches will be assembled to form a larger interactive piece.
