The eTextile Summer Camp is a week-long event that brings together expert practitioners from the fields of eTextiles and Soft Circuitry. Gathering in the countryside of france, the camp offers participants space and opportunity to come together professionally and casually to exchange knowledge, share skills through hands-on workshops and engage in discourse around current topics.
This year’s fourth edition of the eTextile Summer Camp will again be hosted by the wonderful Paillard Centre d’Art Contemporain & Résidence d’Artistes and will take place from July 26th to August 2nd, 2015 in Poncé sur le Loir, France.

Dates and Schedule:

The Summer Camp is scheduled to be held from July 26th (Sunday) to August 1st (Saturday).
The first day (26th) is the day to arrive at the Paillard. We will arrange a small welcome dinner in the evening. The main activities will start form the 27th morning and last until the August 1st. We will plan a closing event on the 1st evening, where all participants will present the final outcome of their Group-Projects developed during the summer camp. Participants will start their journey back home on the August 2nd.

Past eTextile Summer Camps:
The first Summer Camp was held in 2011 at the Rydal Design Center in Borås, Sweden. The second and the third edition was held in 2013 at Paillard Centre d’Art Contemporain & Résidence d’Artistes in Poncé sur le Loir, France.

Paillard Centre d’Art Contemporain & Résidence d’Artistes is located in Poncé sur le Loir, a small village at the entrance of the Loire Valley, 214 km from Paris. The historic site of the Moulins de Paillard, an 18th century paper mill, returns to the creativity and the innovation of the industrial revolution thanks to a contemporary arts centre and its program of expositions and performances. www.moulinspaillard.com
