Ingo Randolf, born in Austria 1977, finished Art University in Linz – department of audiovisual Media – in 2005. After University he was living and working as an artist in Linz creating Live visualizations, videos and media-art. During his stay in Sweden his focus shifted towards programming and physical computing. A reimplementation of the Installation “Feed the Idiots” was finished during this period and presented in Linz 2011. His recent work “urban needle” uses an automated process to transform rooms into noise. With this work he records noise in public that is based on the shape of the surrounding space. While he often uses technology is his works, his interest is in shifting perspective.
