How to get there

The nearest international airports are in Paris: Roissy-Charles De Gaulle airport and Orly airport. From these airports, you can get into a direct train to Le Mans without having to go through Paris city center.

  • From Airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle there is a TGV station in Terminal 2.
The TGV connects directly CDG to Le Mans in less than 2 hours.
  • This TGV line is reachable from Orly airport at Massy TGV station.
The ride to Le Mans lasts less than an hour.

Massy TGV is reachable from Orly Airport via taxi. A ride takes 15 minutes and costs estimations varies from 22 to 32 euros.

(there is a semi-complex system of bus connections to RER Station Pont de Rungis, in order to take RER C (yellow line on the Paris transportation map) to reach Massy-Palaiseau and then walk 3 minutes to Massy TGV – but unless you are French I would not recommend this adventurous trip…)

  • From airports please consider identity controls at the borders. This add some time between the actual landing and picking up the luggage. Queuing time may vary from 20 minutes to 1 hour in the worst case…

To book the train ticket, you can use this site >> http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/
I
t is highly recommended that you book your train ticket in advance as you need a seat reservation to take the TGV (this does not add fees, it is just the system)

Pick-up Schedule on Friday 14th July
This is French National Day so public transportation is very limited, less trains are available and local buses may not drive.

15:20 at Château du Loir:
We recommend this connection for travelers landing at Roissy-Charles de Gaulles and Orly airports in the morning.

17:30 at Vendôme – Villiers sur Loir TGV station:
This connection is recommended if you come from London or any other connection that brings you to Paris center.

20:40 at Le Mans:
Here is the last option for afternoon landings.
That is also the “safety” option for delayed or missed connections that may occur during the actual day of travelling.
Please be aware that TGVs to Vendôme-Villiers TGV and to Le Mans start from Paris Montparnasse but they are NOT the same train.
