Summer Residency provides space, tools and time to concentrate for etextile practitioners to work on their own or collaborative projects. The residency cycles are 5 days long, plus weekend if one prefers to extend.
The Paillard Centre d’Art is now planning to open “La Forge” as a permanent etextile workspace. The idea is that La Forge acts as an etextile Fablab for both the local community and the international community of etextile practitioners. This year, we are hosting a few artists in residence to try out the setup of La Forge as a working space and see how it can further develop as a space for etextile creation.
As this is a test round for La Forge, we made a closed call among the summer camp alumni this year. We hope that the La Forge Residency program will be soon open to other etextile practitioners as similar to other Paillard Centre d’Art residency programs.
